Survivor goes Racist

Is this for real? The next Survivor will separate contestants by race. Black, white, asian and hispanic.

I'd call it a spoof if it weren't actually Jeff Probst talking about it on a national morning show.

Oh well, it'll definitely be fun to watch as it plays out, either in the news or in the show itself.

  • I've heard similar remarks from some in the media that this is racist, but I don't understand that at all. When they separated the tribes Male and Female, nobody cried Sexist.

However, if the first challenge involves swimming and none of the black team wants to get in the water, this could get quite uncomfortable for CBS.

  • I wonder if they'll serve stereotypical meals.

    Asians get rice and dog.

    Whites get McDonalds.

    Blacks get chicken and watermelon.

Hispanics get... umm, I'm not sure what hispanics eat.

  • The best thing about all this is that people are going to get to use racial stereotypes, and then when they get yelled at for being insensitive, they can blame CBS for bringing it up in the first place.

  • I totally forgot about Tacos and Burritoes... Please pardon my ignorance in anonymity.

"Taco taco. Burrito. Taco. Taco taco. Don't think just because I got a lot of money, I'll give you taco-flavored kisses, honey."
